The Team John Twitchen is the founder of Sauce with 15 years' experience as a recycling sector communications professional working for public, private and partnership organisations. He has a degree in environmental science; is a member of the CIWM's communications committee and board director of Remade Essex, and has recently been advising the Conservative Party on the development of waste policies as part of its Quality of Life review. John regularly cycles hundreds of miles - in one go... Caroline Macdonald has been involved in the environmental sector since her schooldays when she studied Environmental Science GCSE. Armed with a degree in the same subject, she cut her commercial teeth by running a wine bar in London before working with SITA UK. Caroline founded OggaDoon Marketing & Communications which merged with Sauce Consultancy in January 2009. Always a modern woman, Caroline is currently a member of the NFWI Public Affairs committee. Caroline is saving up for a horse (a leg at a time). Becky Borrow recently joined the Sauce team as Head of Operations to help with the smooth running and development of the ever-expanding company. After working in an entirely different industry for the last five years, Becky is keen to get to grips with the world of environmental consultancy, transferring her management and communication skills from one field to another. A keen skier, Becky loves escaping to the mountains whenever possible (summer or winter!) – and is also fluent in French. Nicki Chennells has over 12 years experience in marketing and communications in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Sauce as Senior PR & Media Manager, Nicki was Marketing Manager for recycling company Bywaters which included launching their materials recovery facility. Nicki has a degree in management studies and a postgraduate in marketing. A former hockey player, Nicki is now searching for a more gentle form of exercise. Olivia Cameron has over six years' experience in travel and charity PR, following a degree in communications and media studies from Loughborough University. Olivia has a keen interest in health and sport (qualifications in sports massage and personal training) and has worked for Bournemouth Primary Care Trust, Nuffield Proactive Health Ltd, As Nature Intended health stores and continues to practice sports massage (one day a week!) Olivia will cycle, run or walk wherever she can to reduce her carbon footprint. Caroline Robinson has joined the Sauce team as Projects Officer. Caroline graduated from Newcastle University with a BSc in Marine Biology and an MSc in Tropical Coastal Management. After leaving university, she embarked on a seven month round-the-world backpacking trip and upon her return worked for the Environment Agency for several months before moving to London to work for Capita Symonds as an Environmental Assistant. Caroline loves anything marine-related and reckons she is definitely on her way to visiting every aquarium in the world! Rutendo Chitiga has joined Sauce as a Campaign Coordinator. She is a graduate in Environment and Development from the LSE. She worked for the International Institute for Environment and Development before leaving to work as a Recycling Education Officer for the London Borough of Camden, where she successfully expanded the schools recycling programme through publicity campaigns, launching the education centre and building strong links with local schools. Gareth Hill has joined Sauce as Political Research and Projects Officer. He has extensive experience in research generation from qualitative interviewing to more quantitative based surveys and questionnaires. Gareth has a Masters degree in Journalism and a BA in Sociology in which his primary focus was on analysis and change of UK Government policy. Gareth has previously worked for a website focusing on reporting the House of Commons and published articles on animal welfare issues.
Carmen Dengra has recently joined Sauce as our new Projects Officer. She has a six-year degree in chemical engineering from the University of Madrid, followed by a MSc in Environmental Management for Business from Cranfield University, UK. Through her studies she has gathered a wide experience in public consultation and stakeholder involvement and risk communication within the environmental field. Recently she has developed case studies in environmental economics and communications and green marketing.
