‘Zero waste’ is the new buzz term in the waste and recycling industry. Recently Scotland announced its ambitious zero waste objective of increasing recycling to 70% by 2025, and the Secretary of State for the Environment, Hilary Benn, outlined plans last week to make Britain a “zero waste nation”.
