‘The Art of Consultation’

Sauce Consultancy is proud to be the first Professional Partner of The Consultation Institute (TCI) which is leading the way in promoting best practice consultation and public engagement.

Rhion Jones and Elizabeth Gammell, co-founders of TCI, have recently published ‘The Art of Consultation’ in which they answer those tricky questions arising when considering the core processes that are consultation and public engagement – When? Who? How?  – and aim to help readers with the practicalities of informing, consulting and involving.

‘The Art of Consultation’ was reviewed by John Tizard in the Guardian on 7 February 2010 who praises the book, describing it as ‘timely and insightful’ and states it should be ‘acquired reading’. Copies are available to buy via The Consultation Institute website www.consultationinstitute.org (discounted price for members) or through other normal book retailers.

Sauce has five copies of ‘The Art of Consultation’ to give away to the first five examples of good consultation (in any field) that are emailed through to us on info@sauceconsultancy.co.uk by 12 March 2010. We look forward to hearing from you!

Rhion Jones will be speaking about best practice consultation at the Communications Hub, run by Sauce as part of the CIWM event Futuresource, 15, 16 and 17 June 2010.

John Twitchen of Sauce recently recorded a podcast for MRW magazine discussing consultation – click here to view in wmv format or here to view the MRW podcast page.
