Sauce hits the national press

Yesterday was a very exciting day at Sauce HQ as Sauce Consultancy hit the press following John Twitchen’s (Sauce Managing Director) involvement in Which?’s research on green claims made by household products. With the article being run in many national newspapers, including the Metro and Daily Mail, plus being featured in many more online news sites including the Guardian and Times Online, Sauce was suddenly in demand! Following a phone call from BBC Radio 2, John found himself at BBC Broadcasting House to appear on Drive Time with Simon Mayo – click here to listen to his interview (only available for 6 more days): http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00s6ndj

Of 14 household items surveyed, including laundry tablets, toilet cleaners and nappies, almost half were marketed with green claims that could not be supported by convincing evidence. John says: “Products targeting green consumers have a responsibility to be green and unambiguous. While claims may be scientifically proven, the evidence has to be accessible to the average consumer.”
