John Twitchen comments on the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement

Sauce MD, John Twitchen, was featured in Wednesday’s Independent (30/11/2011, p 10-11), commenting on the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement from his perspective as an SME owner. Below is an expanded version of his views, with an eye on supporting the company’s continued growth.

Clearly the British economy is facing a difficult time, with a host of macro-economic issues burdening the government, the majority of which none of us are involved in nor could hope to influence. In some ways the level of detail the Chancellor went into was astounding (listing specific roads to be resurfaced!); nonetheless, it’s obvious that such a turbulent period in our economic history requires the macro-issues to be prioritised. Cough up for a good cause – Tour de Force 2010

Many of you will know that Sauce’s Managing Director, John Twitchen, does a lot of cycling. For 2010 he’s stepped it up and is training to ride three stages (over 400km!) of this year’s Tour de France including the event’s toughest stage, the Col du Tormalet in the Pyrenees at 2,115m high. (more…)
